I started this blog for a bit of fun, as I'm too much of a malcoordinated spanner (as my mate, quite accurately, describes me) to be trusted with electrical equipment in anything remotely resembling a professional kitchen. After a while, I found that quite a few friends were following my recipes so I thought I'd expand my empire!I was born and raised in Essex among a family of baked goods-lovers, but my passion for cooking didn't really ignite until my sister bought me a Greek cooking book - and from that moment on, I was hooked!
I like to make all kinds of things but I guess most of what I make is old fashioned English food. I currently work as a freelance advocate, and in my spare time I enjoy playing the guitar, going to gigs and drinking beer, which you can see me doing in the above picture.
